The Karnataka Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) (Amendment) Rules, 2019
Government of Karnataka vide notification No.LD 382 LET 2018 has amended The Karnataka Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Rules, 1961 to incorporate Item 7 mentioned as "fixed-term employment workman" of Clause 2(a) under Schedule-1 referred as Model Standing orders.
It also further defines "Fixed-term workman' engaged on the basis of a written contract of employment for a fixed period with conditions that facilities such as hours of work, wages, allowances and other statutory benefits shall not be lesser than the facilities for the permanent workman.
The notification also inserted the termination clause of a fixed-term employment workman under the Model Standing Order.
